1% of American Voters1
Millionaires have always been an important Swing Voter Demographic in Presidential Politics. Although we find Millionaires on both sides of the Political Spectrum, Millionaires have been very happy with the Party in Power. Over the last eight years, the number of Millionaires has increased exponentially in the United States. In fact, a third of the World’s supply of Millionaires now call this country home.
As a reflection of these shifting Demographics, more and more Millionaires have been elected to Public Office.2
These Millionaire Politicians have tirelessly advanced the causes of their fellow Millionaires, from the Bush tax cuts to writing direct stimulus checks for runaway Country Club dues to subsidizing Shiatsu Massages for AIG Executives.
Millionaire Politicians and Presidential Candidates alike have invested in this Demo, because only Millionaires have the liquidity to float the Political Action Committees and 527’s that do the best hatchet jobs on the Opposing Candidate.3
And that’s way more valuable than a single Swing Vote.
After all, a lot of Millionaires were only Millionaires on paper. And now, Millionaires are short on disposable income – a million US dollars is literally not worth what it used to be.4
This makes Millionaires open to a hostile takeover in this Election Cycle!
But which Presidential Candidate panders more to Millionaire Swing Voters in 2008?
1 Control 95% of American Wealth
2 40% of American Senators, and 100% of Major Presidential Candidates are part of this Demographic
